2011-02-26 Siurana, Corral Nou

 

The mighty Siurana…

in winter…. means no T-shirt!  Sector – Corral Nou.

First route – Els Fenicis, 6a, tough going, but onsighted.

Next route Quinta! 6a (6b in old guidebook).  It’s long, has a roof problem, but it’s nice.  Red-point it next time.

Next to mop up the previously abandoned 6a Els Fenicis.  It has a slightly overhanging reachy move early on.  I didn’t think this was a 6a move so went on to onsight the 6a+ next to it.  All the routes in this new guide are “conservative” in their grades.

Next up the awesome Faktoria 6a+ (6b in old guide).  Very pumpy with a couple of overhanging bulges to get over, this is long, sustained, scary.

Marc then onsights the humbling 6b+ Pupilas (6c).  Kudos – I try it top-roped and miss the last third because I’m pumped and exhausted.  We finish up a great day in Corral Nou Cami with a couple of crappy 6a’s- Maximal and Trinafro that aren’t worth bothering with.

El poderós Siurana ... a l'hivern .... vol dir que no hi ha samarreta!

Sector - Corral Nou.  Primera ruta - Els Fenicis, 6a, intensitat, però fet avista.
A continuació la ruta Quintena! 6a (6b en guia d'edat). És llarg, té un problema de sostre, però és bo. Encadenarla la propera vegada.

Al costat de netejar el Fenicis prèviament abandonats 6a Els. Té un moviment lleugerament destacats reachy des del principi. No vaig pensar que es tractava d'un moviment tan 6a va passar a Onsight la 6a + al costat d'ella. Totes les rutes d'aquesta nova guia tenen alt graus.

A continuació el Faktoria impressionant 6a + (6b en la guia d'edat). Molt “Pumpy” (se infla molt) amb un parell de protuberàncies penjants de superar, és a dir llarg, sostingut, fa por.
Marc llavors onsights la humiliant 6b+ Pupil (6c). Kudos - ho intento en top, i es perdi l'últim terç perquè estic bombat i esgotat. Acabem un gran dia a Corral Nou Camí amb un parell de 6a's-Trinafro i màximal que no valen la pena molestar amb.
